Club Benefits & Fees

Club 'Sota Volleyball is one of the largest Junior Olympic volleyball clubs in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area, and prides itself on providing excellent practice facility accommodations, equipment and coaching at an affordable price to its members.

As our club grows and our members continue to seek a more competitive environment, we have structured our club to accommodate a wide spectrum of players - from those new to volleyball, to experienced players with an eye toward playing collegiate volleyball.

Our club is made up of three different team levels:

Select (the top team at each of the 14U, 15U, 16U, 17U and 18U age divisions*)

- The players in this group not only display the best skills at each of these age divisions, but they are also able to commit to the longer season and handle the stronger competition in the most rigorous schedule the club offers.

- Players at this level will compete in the area's larger tournaments, providing greater potential exposure to collegiate coaches and recruiters.

Tournament (13U, 14U, 15U, 16U, 17U and 18U age divisions)

- The most "traditional" level of the club. The players in the club at this level have a firm understanding of the fundamentals of volleyball and can demonstrate solid mechanics and techniques.

- The teams in this group will compete in a variety of one-day tournaments, as well as competing in the popular Presidents' Day Festival tournament (a two-day event) and an additional two-day tournament over the course of the season.

Club (12U, 13U, 14U, 15U and 16U age divisions)

- The players in this group are relatively new to volleyball and/or want to continue to improve their skills in a less stressful competitive environment.

- By being in a "power league" competition environment, teams at this level will play against other club teams with similar skills on a more consistent basis, allowing them to have a greater potential for individual and team success.
