Tournaments and Events

Please Note: this page is primarily for NCR member club directors and coaches - it is not an indication of the tournament schedules for any of the Club 'Sota Volleyball teams.

Dear Club Director(s), Club 'Sota is proud to offer single-day and two-day competition events during the Junior Olympic volleyball season. We are offering the following events for the 2013 - 2014 season:

‘Sota Slam Tournament Series:

Whether you’re entering one team for one event or multiple teams for multiple dates, our goal is to provide a top-notch experience for your club/team(s). Each event will have an onsite tournament director and support staff to keep play running smoothly and on schedule.

The format for each tournament will include pool play followed by bracket play (upper and lower). Winning teams of upper-bracket play will receive championship medals at the conclusion of each event. Pool play schedules will be made available by the Wednesday prior to the event – please make sure to include a valid phone number and email address when registering to avoid unnecessary delays when receiving schedule information. Each team will have assigned officiating duties (1st referee, 2nd referee, line judges (2), scorekeeper, Libero tracker) as indicated by the schedule during both pool play and bracket play.

Our event facility, the High Performance Academy, has seven pristine hardwood volleyball courts situated over a shock-absorbing subfloor designed to provide optimal athletic performance while decreasing stress and potential injury to athletes’ muscles and joints. Each court has a wireless electronic scoreboard, and the courts have ample room and bleacher seating between each one for spectators. The front commons area is available to all visitors, players and coaches to “nest” their gear and bags and to eat between matches – food/pop is not allowed on the courts, only water and sports drinks are allowed on the courts. Concessions are available during all events – outside food is not allowed. Large, flat-panel televisions will be available in the front commons area to all attendees and will provide additional non-volleyball viewing entertainment (hey, it's football and basketball season too - we understand).
